Awareness programme

THANJAVUR: Dr. M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India has organised an awareness programme on Bio-diversity Act 2002 for the panchayat presidents and selected farmers.

Inaugrating the training programme District Revenue Officer M. Karunakaran on Thursday said that due to population explosion and the rising needs of the people, environmental degradation and bio-diversity exploitation is of the highest order. V. Palaniappan, Adviser of the foundation also spoke.
