Temporary traffic diversion at Padi

CHENNAI: Traffic will be temporarily diverted from Saturday to facilitate the construction of the Padi grade separator.

According to a release, movement of vehicles from Villivakkam towards Padi CTH Road will have diversions with the following changes.

Mini Lorries and light vehicles coming from SIDCO Nagar will take CTH Road, Nathamuni Junction, New Avadi Road, III Avenue Junction, VI Avenue, 21st Main Road, 18th Main Road, 100ft Road and reach Wheels India junction.

Buses coming from Villivakkam bus terminus will take left and enter CTH Road, ICF Junction, ICF Annexure Road, New Avadi Road, III Avenue Junction, VI Avenue, 21st Main road, 18th Main Road, 100ft Road and reach Wheels India junction.

Buses and light vehicles coming from Kunnur High Road will take ICF Junction, turn left to New Avadi Road, III Avenue Junction, VI Avenue, 21st Main Road, 18th Main Road, 100ft Road and reach Wheels India junction.

Buses and light vehicles coming from New Avadi Road will take left at the III Avenue Junction and pass through VI Avenue, 21st Main Road, 18th Main Road, 100ft Road and Wheels India junction.

Buses coming from III Avenue will take left to pass through the VI Avenue, 21st Main Road, 18th Main Road, 100ft Road and Wheels India junction.

Two-wheelers and autorickshaws coming from SIDCO Nagar, Villivakkam Bus Terminus, Kunnur High Road, New Avadi Road and III Avenue can follow the existing route upto Nathamuni junction and turn left in order to take the Old Thirumangalam Road, 18th Main Road and 100ft Road and reach Wheels India junction.

Lorries and containers will be diverted at Nataraj Theatre to Basin Bridge Road and pass through Vysarpadi Road, Ambedkar College, Moolakkadai, Madhavaram High Road, 200ft Road and Wheels India junction.

Vehicles from Padi towards Villivakkam will follow the existing system without any diversion, according to the release.
