Two hospitals fined

Bangalore: Acting tough against two private hospitals for dumping waste in open spaces, the BBMP has imposed a penalty of Rs. 3.5 lakh. The hospital managements have been warned not to repeat the offence. Waste from Wockhardt Hospital on Bannerghatta Road was found dumped in an open area near Avalahalli last month. Waste from Apollo Hospital was also found dumped in the same area. — Staff Reporter
