COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has inked a memorandum of understanding with Agro-Biotech Research Centre Limited, Kottayam, Kerala, here recently. The MoU signed by P. Santhanakrishnan, Registrar of TNAU, and K.J. Jacob, Managing Director, Agro-Biotech Research Centre Limited, envisages designing and organising need-based certificate courses related to bio-fertilizers and bio-control agents, to be offered in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. CoursesAs an outcome of the MoU, the following courses are on the anvil – production of bio-fertilizers and bio-control agents, integrated nutrient management, integrated pest management, organic farming, and basic and applied agriculture techniques for crops, viz., rubber, coconut, vegetables, spices and paddy. The proposed courses will be offered in English and Malayalam for six months. FeeA course fee of Rs. 3,000 would be collected from every participant.
