Sanskriti awards presented

New Delhi: Social activist and Magsaysay award winner Aruna Roy presented the Sanskriti Awards 2008 here on Friday to Inderjit Nandan for literature (Punjabi), Chitrangada Choudhury for journalism, Ranjani Shettar for art, Ranjani Gayatri for music, and Ability Unlimited India for outstanding social achievements.

Experts in their fields selected the awardees. Awards Committee chairman Ashok Vajpeyi explained the vision of Sanskriti Pratishthan, which instituted the awards. Ms. Aruna Roy congratulated the awardees on their outstanding contributions.
