Easy for East Bengal

KOLKATA: East Bengal thumped league leader Sporting Clube De Goa 3-1 in an eighth round encounter of the I-League football here at the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.

Sunil Chhetri, Syed Rahim Nabi (2) scored for the winner while Harmanjyot Khabra pulled one back for the loser. East Bengal now has 12 points. — Principal Correspondent

Goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya’s lapse in concentration allowed Mumbai FC to come from behind to hold Churchill Brothers to a 2-2 draw.

Mumbai FC scored through Abhishek Yadav and Kalia Kulothungan, while Okolie Odafa and Reisangmi Vashum scored for Churchill Brothers.
