NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old man registered as a “bad character” at the Uttam Nagar police station has been arrested by the South Delhi police. Acting on a tip-off, a police team put barricades on Nelson Mandela Marg on Friday evening and flagged down a young man on a motorcycle. The motorcyclist tried to speed off, but was arrested. He was later identified as Chand Mohammad. A country-made pistol and two live cartridges were allegedly seized from his possession. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
