BANGALORE: Dark and cloudy skies on Sunday seemed to hint at some much-awaited rain. Sources in the Department of Meteorology said that this would last over the next few days and rain and thundershowers were likely in Bangalore. Due to the increased cloud cover, temperature levels were likely to rise, the sources said. Cloud coverB. Puttanna, meteorologist, said that rain was due to the cyclone which had developed in the Bay of Bengal, which had now downgraded to “deep depression”. “This will bring very heavy rain to Andhra Pradesh and some districts of north Karnataka,” he said. Light to moderate rain was likely in most places over all the districts of north interior Karnataka and in many places over the districts of coastal Karnataka and south interior Karnataka, he said.
