Award for Humpy, Kamal

VIJAYAWADA: The Raja-Lakshmi Award for the year 2008 will be presented to Grandmaster Koneru Humpy and table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal at a function to be held in Chennai on November 19. The award carries a purse of Rs. one lakh, a citation and a memento.

The awardees will also receive the Dr. K.V. Rao and Dr. Jyothi Rao Award ($2,000) in association with the Telugu Fine Arts Society (TFAS), New Jersey, according to P.V. Ramaniah Raja, Managing Trustee of the foundation.
