Somdev loses doubles

NEW DELHI: Somdev Dev Varman in partnership with Izak Van Der Merwe of South Africa went down fighting 6-2, 1-6, 3-10 to the top-seeded Rajeev Ram and Bobby Reynolds of the US in the doubles semifinals of the $50,000 ATP Challenger tennis tournament at Champaign, Illinois, US. The Indo-South African duo that came through the qualifying event collected 27 ATP points and shared $1,080.
