Woman, auto-rickshaw driver arrested

NEW DELHI: A woman and an auto-rickshaw driver who allegedly robbed a passenger by threatening to implicating him in a case of criminal assault were arrested at Aali Mor in South-East Delhi on Saturday. The stolen amount was recovered from them, the police said.

Ismail Khan (21), a resident of Faridabad in Haryana, informed a police patrol team that an auto-rickshaw driver and a woman robbed him of Rs.1,800 by threatening to frame him in a rape case. Subsequently, the police intercepted the auto-rickshaw and arrested the accused.
