‘Rythu protsahaka utsav’ from tomorrow

VIZIANAGARAM: About one lakh farmers who were not benefited by loan waiver scheme-2008 will receive an incentive of Rs.5,000 during the ‘Rythu protsahaka utsavaalu’ to be conducted in all mandal headquarters from November 19 to 30. All the farmers who availed crop loans from kharif-2004 onwards and repaid the amount on or before February 29 this year would be covered under the scheme. A sum of Rs. 44 crores would be distributed among the farmers, according to Joint Director (Agriculture) M.N. Gangaram. The ‘utsavalu’ would be launched in the fort town on that day.
