Thriprayar temple arch inaugurated

SPECIAL ARCH: Cochin Devaswom Board president T. G. Ravi inaugurating an arch built in front of the Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple, near Thrissur, on Monday. —

Thrissur: Cochin Devaswom Board president T. G. Ravi on Monday inaugurated an arch built in front of the Seerama Temple at Thriprayar, near here.

The Karathully Kalari family of Thanyam village has built the arch in memory of Sreenivasa Panicker of Peringottukara.

Nambi Rajan, superintending archeologist of the Archeological Survey of India, was the guest of honour.

C. K. G. Vaidyar, chairman of the Sree Rama Cultural Forum, writer Balachandran Vadakkedathu, BJP leader Subramanian, Devayani Sreenivasa Panicker and Baburaj S. Panicker of the Karuthully Kalari, Nattika Panchayat president Gemini Sadanandan, Thannyam Panchayat president Anil Kumar, District Panchayat member T. S. Balan,

Thriprayar Temple Committee president Swarnalatha and Thriprayar Devaswom manager Kashi Viswanathan were present on the occasion.

Ekadasi festivities are on at the temple. Ekadasi falls on November 23.
