Forest officer ends life

BANGALORE: A Karnataka Forest Service officer, Reena Madhu V. Raj (26), ended her life here on Sunday by hanging herself to death.

Reena, who was serving as Range Forest Officer in Kolar district, committed suicide at her home on Tambuchetty Palya Main Road around 9.30 a.m. Her husband Madhu V. Raj, also a Range Forest Officer in Bannerghatta National Park, was at home at the time of the suicide.

The couple was married earlier this year, and preliminary investigation revealed they had had a quarrel. Reena was a native of Siddapur near Karwar and Madhu is from Devasandra near K.R. Puram.
