Sudanwa Sitaram advances

MUMBAI: Sudanwa Sitaram advanced to the second round with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Great Britain’s Maniel Bains in the MSLTA-ITF Men’s Futures tournament on Monday. He is in the lower half of the draw, featuring second seed Nathan Thompson (US) and sixth seed Divij Sharan.

The results (first round): Sudanwa Sitaram (Ind) bt Maniel Bains (Gbr) 6-4, 6-0; Liang Chi Huang (Tpe) bt Rohan Gide (Ind) 6-3, 7-6 (1); Daniel Lustig (Cze) bt P Chandrasekhar (Ind) 6-2, 6-4.
