Sports meet

The 35th annual sports meet of K.P.M. Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Eachanari, was held recently. M. Sekar, Director, Project, Isha Foundation, lit the Olympic torch. Events included running, long jump, shotput, and badminton.

Winner

K. Kaviyasree of Class VI of APG Matriculation School bagged the first prize in State-level Hindi handwriting contest organised by Vidhysrudham Art Academy, Maduranthagam. She won Rs.1,000 as cash prize.

Education Day

Premier Vidyaa Vikash Matriculation School celebrated national Educational Day, the birthday of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.

Students were asked to read passages from books and newspapers.
