Annual Christmas fete on Dec.20

HYDERABAD: The 30th United Christmas Celebrations Committee-2008 will organise its annual Christmas fete on December 20 at Lalita Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens, with Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy as the chief guest.

Prayer for peace

A press release issued by the committee said here on Monday that a highlight of the celebrations would be prayer for prevalence of peace in the country, for the victims of Orissa and against atrocities on the minorities.

The release said K.R.W.Yesudas, IAS (Retd) will preside. T. Stanley Babu, adviser to the committee, P. Suryaprakash, Moderator’s Commissery, Church of South India, Medak Diocease, and Archbishop of Hyderabad Marampudi Joji will be among those attending the celebrations.
