‘Cricket betting’: three arrested

VIJAYAWADA: The anti-goonda squad (AGS) arrested three persons, who were allegedly involved in cricket betting, here on Monday. The AGS cops raided a house in Ramalingeswara Nagar Katta and arrested S. Srinivasa Rao, 32, who was organising cricket betting.

They also arrested two punters, Narasimha Rao and Mujeeb, and seized Rs. 1.10 lakh, a laptop, a colour television set, and seven cell phones from the accused.
