Nagapattinam boy wins medals in State-level meet

NAGAPATTINAM: C. Ramprasad, a Standard IX student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Nagapattinam, has won a gold and a silver medal at the State-level athletics meet for CBSE schools on November 11 and 12 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

Ramprasad won the gold medal in the 200 metres event, clocking a time of 25.7 seconds.

He also won the silver medal in the 100 metres event, clocking 12.6 seconds.

The school chairman T.N. Ramalingam, correspondent P. Rajagopal and headmistress Nalini Kaladharan appreciated his achievement at a function held in the school. Nagapattinam Municipality chairperson R. Chandramohan, the boy’s father, was also present.
