Bypolls in 17 wards on December 16

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Byelections in 17 local body wards in the State will be held on December 16, the State Election Commission said on Tuesday. The wards are in Chenkal grama panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram district, Veliayanad block panchayat in Alappuzha district, Kuruchi grama panchayat in Kottayam district, Thodupuzha municipality in Idukki district, Ramamangalam grama panchayat in Ernakulam district, Puthur grama panchayat in Thrissur district, Shoranur municipality (eight wards), Nochatte grama panchayat in Kozhikode district and Mogral Puthur grama panchayat in Kasaragod district. — Special Correspondent
