SBT hikes rates

Thiruvananthapuram: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has announced an upward revision in the interest rates for FCNR and NRE term deposits with effect from Tuesday. As per the revision, interest rate for NRE deposits will be 4.92% (existing: 4.17%) per annum for a period of 1 year to less than 2 years; 4.41% (3.66%) for 2 years to less than 3 years and 4.89% (4.14%) for 3 years and above to 5 years.
