Ford to sell 20% in Mazda

TOKYO: Embattled U.S. automaker Ford Motor Company on Tuesday said it would sell 20 per cent stake in its Japanese partner Mazda Motor Corp. for $540 million to raise cash. The company said it would continue a strategic alliance with Japan’s fifth largest automaker after reducing its stake from 33.4 per cent to about 13 per cent.
