TN girls in final

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu upset formidable Manipur 2-1 to enter the final of the girls under-19 junior National football championship being held in Gurgaon, according to a press release from the TFA. Chiranciyal and Jeyalakshmi were the scorers. In the final, Tamil Nadu will play Orissa.

Earlier results: Quarterfinal league: Tamil Nadu bt Assam 4-2; bt Jharkhand 5-1, lost to Orissa 0-3. Preliminary phase: Tamil Nadu bt Chhattisgarh 6-0; bt Uttarakhand 9-0.
