Champions League on ESPN-STAR

New Delhi: ESPN-STAR Sports (ESS) has won the long-term global television production rights for the Champions League Twenty20 cricket tournament to be held next month.

The channel had acquired the global commercial rights of the league for a period of 10 years after a successful bid. ESS and Champions League Twenty20 officials are currently finalising the necessary agreement.

The channel will provide High Definition (HD) telecast of the championship, making it the first HD telecast for any sporting event in the Indian subcontinent. — PTI
