Corrections and Clarifications

The fourth paragraph of a report “Unprecedented security in Bastar” (November 14, 2008) was “Close to 64 lakh people will exercise their franchise in the first phase. The total number of candidates is 379, including 42 women.” The number of women who contested in the first phase of polling in Chhattisgarh was 36, as mentioned in the accompanying KBK graphic.
