Police arrest 15 for drug peddling

Mumbai: The Mumbai police arrested 15 persons here on the charge of drug peddling. They were sent for medical examination.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 1 Vishwas Nangre Patil told the media, “The urine and blood samples of 231 boys and girls were collected and sent for chemical analysis to Forensic Science Laboratory, Kalina, Mumbai. We have received the reports of 119 persons. Out of them 109 have tested positive.”

Mr. Patil said that those who test positive would be arrested for consuming drugs. The punishment for consumption alone is not severe.
