HYDERABAD: Thousand Hands of Bodhisattva – a world renowned ballet performed by the hearing impaired dancers of China will be making its exquisite appearance for dance lovers of the city in January, if everything goes according schedule. Not just the Chinese ballet, original Belly Dance by Seda Jurin of Egypt and Samba of Brazil are a few to name among the world dances that will be performed at ‘Dance Set – An International Event of Dance,’ to be held in the city in January. N.V.D.S Krishana Kishore, CEO of Acme Ads, the event organiser, said on Wednesday that 118 artistes from nine countries will be performing at the three-day festival. The dance forms on the list include – Kuchipudi, Kathakali and Manipuri of India, Barynya and Kalinka of Russia, Paso Double of USA, Geisha, Senju and Sakura of Japan, Mask Dance, Pooja Dance and Mayura Vanama of Sri Lanka, Karadeniz, Kafkas and Dungun of Turkey, Belly Dance of Egypt (three variants), Khon, Lakhon and Ramba-Srivichai of Thailand, Thousand Hands of Bodhisattva, Fairy Butterflies, Yellow Earth and Green Seedlings (performances) of China, Samba of Brazil and Salsa from Latin America. Mr. Krishana Kishore averred that ‘Dance Set’ would be a unique festival with important ballets from five continents. “We are roping in reputed artistes. Seda Jurin is a world acclaimed belly dancer.
