Money distributed

MADURAI: Collector P. Seetharaman on Monday distributed Rs. 1 lakh to the wife of a farmer who was electrocuted while operating a pump.

It was provided from the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Social Security Scheme to Sankammal, wife of Murugananthan of Narasingam in Madurai north taluk.

She was also given Rs. 2,500 to meet the expenses of last rites of the deceased.
