“Drop move to increase FDI in insurance sector”

TUTICORIN: Members of the Tuticorin branch of Life Insurance Corporation of India Agents’ Association staged a demonstration here on Thursday in protest against Central Government’s move to increase foreign direct investment in the insurance sector from the existing 26 per cent to 49 per cent.

The members demanded the immediate withdrawal of increase in FDI. The district president of the association E. Murugan presided.
