Sharp showers in Pudukottai

PUDUKOTTAI: Sharp showers lashed parts of coastal villages in the district for the second consecutive day on Thursday. The showers have brought cheers to farmers of the tail-end basin of the Cauvery delta who have raised the ‘samba’ crop. The onset of the North-East Monsoon has raised their hopes for a safe cultivation of paddy.
