Tahsildar arrested

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Mallapu Ravindra Kumar, Tahsildar of Pedavegi mandal in West Godavari district, after they ‘caught’ him accepting bribe of Rs. 5,000 from a complainant for issuing title deeds of his lands.

Likewise, the government demoted A. Venkateswarao Rao, assistant sub-inspector of police, formerly at Iragavaram, West Godavari district, who was trapped by ACB officials on August 19, 1998. — Special Correspondent
