Official gets bail

The Madras High Court Bench in Madurai on Thursday granted bail to a senior official of Southern railway who allegedly took a bribe of Rs.1 lakh from a contractor in Tiruchi on November 12. Justice K.N. Basha issued an order to release P.V. Reddy, former Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination), Tiruchi Division, on a condition that he should appear daily before the Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths in Chennai.
