VISAKHAPATNAM: State unit vice-president of Telugu Desam Party M.V.V.S. Murthy on Thursday demanded an inquiry by the CBI into the charges of corruption and irregularities against former Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of VUDA Venkataram Reddy. “The inquiry ordered by the government is an eyewash and is meant to dupe people. One can easily predict the outcome of an inquiry by a government official,” Mr. Murthy said, asserting that the Chief Minister was responsible for the irregularities committed during the period of Mr. Venkataram Reddy. Speaking to media persons here, he said if the Chief Minister were sincere, he should order an inquiry by the CBI. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
