Bishops’ council to honour Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: The “Life Time Achievement Award” of the Tamilnadu Bishops’ Council’s Commission for Social Communications will be conferred on Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at a function to be organised here on Sunday.

Archbishop Pedro Lopez Quintana, Apostolic Nuncio and Vatican Ambassador, will confer the award. The council also announced achievers of Santhome Awards for 2008, including the best newspaper award to The Hindu and the best film to “Mozhi.” — Special Correspondent
