Global securities regulators meet

WASHINGTON: Global securities regulators are due to meet on Monday to discuss short selling, derivatives, credit rating agencies and accounting standards, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said on Thursday. SEC Chairman Christopher Cox called the meeting to discuss “urgent regulatory issues in the ongoing credit crisis.”
