Shubhankar hits unbeaten century

NEW DELHI: Shubhankar Sharda scored an unbeaten century to help Sardar Patel Vidyalaya beat Laxman Public School by 37 runs and reach the final of the 12th Harbans Singh Sistani memorial cricket tournament here on Friday.

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya will meet defending champion Ravindra Public School (Pitampura), which defeated host S.S. Khalsa by 24 runs in the other semifinal.

The scores: Sardar Patel Vidyalaya 184 for four in 20 overs (Shubhankar Sharda 106 not out) bt Laxman Public School 147 in 19.4 overs (Amit Verma four for 24).

Ravindra Public School 120 for eight in 15 overs bt S.S. Khalsa 96 for nine in 15 overs (Amit Ghai 43). — Sports Reporter
