Woman killed

PUDUKOTTAI: A 48-year old woman was killed on the spot and her son-in-law suffered serious injuries when the two-wheeler by which they were returning home from a temple, was hit by a bus near the railway-gate at Tiruvappur on Friday.

Police identified the dead as Leelavathy. The youth, Kalidas (32), has been admitted to a private hospital. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
