‘Build exclusive international terminal’

BANGALORE: Working president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday demanded that the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) construct an exclusive international terminal, leaving the existing terminal to be used by domestic passengers.

Speaking to presspersons, he said that the infrastructure at the new airport and its quality and the facilities provided to the passengers were left much to be desired.

He welcomed the exit of BIAL chief executive officer Albert Brunner and the appointment of Marcel Hungerbuehler to the post.

Mr. Hungerbuehler should implement the report of the Joint Legislature Committee, headed by Hemachandra Sagar, on the BIAL, he said.
