Gas leak plugged

Personnel of the Fire and Rescue Services plugged a gas leak from one of the pipelines used for chlorinating drinking water in Chennai Metrowater’s Kilpauk water works on New Avadi Road on Friday night. Firemen said they received a call at 9.40 p.m. about the leakage of Chlorine gas at the facility. They plugged the leak in an operation spanning an hour.
