Khalsa, Miranda triumph

NEW DELHI: Defending champions SGTB Khalsa College and Miranda House retained the men’s and women’s team championship respectively in the 85th Delhi University inter-college athletic meet that concluded at the Chhatrasal Stadium here on Sunday.

The winners:

Men: 400m: Vikas Dabas (51.61); High jump: Ritesh (1.90); Shotput: Sushant Dutta (12.98); 20 km walk: Digvijay Singh (2:15:23.16); 4 x 100m relay: SGTB Khalsa College (45.49).

Team championship: 1. SGTB Khalsa College (24 points), 2. Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (8); 3. Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (5).

Women: 400m: Pushpa Lakra (1:03.49); Hammer throw: Pooja (22.83); Heptathlon: Mukta Satya (2494); 5 km walk: Neelam (36:07.30); 4 x 100m relay: Lady Shri Ram College (57.36).

Team championship: 1. Miranda House (12); 2. Daulat Ram College (7); 3. IGIPESS (6).
