MA College lifts title

KOCHI: Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam, topped the four-team inter-zone league and won the Mahatma Gandhi University inter-collegiate football title at Kottayam.

In the final set of league matches, MA drew goalless with Maharaja’s College (Ernakulam), defeated another Ernakulam side, St. Albert’s 2-0 and beat Kottayam’s Baselius College 2-1 to top the table with seven points.
