CHENNAI: The student wing of the AIADMK on Sunday observed a fast here demanding Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s resignation for police inaction when two groups of students clashed in the Dr Ambedkar Law College.

Student wing state secretary V.V. Udayakumar led the protest. Senior AIADMK leaders and former ministers including C. Ponnaiyan, O. Panneerselvam, E. Madhusoothanan and Semmalai participated.

They said the Chief Minister who was holding the Home portfolio should take responsibility for the police inaction and resign. — Special Correspondent
