NEW DELHI: Several studies have found a seasonal pattern of deaths caused by heart attack and sudden death, with more fatal cases occurring during winters.

According to Dr. K. K. Aggarwal, president of Heart Care Foundation of India, a large study from France found that deaths from heart failure peaked during the winter months of December and January.

Dr. Aggarwal was conducting a workshop on heart failure for doctors at Moolchand Hospital on Sunday.
