Mother, daughter electrocuted

NEW DELHI: A two-year-old girl and her mother were apparently electrocuted by a wire used for heating water in their house at Gokalpur in the trans-Yamuna area on Sunday.

Around 11 a.m., Shravan, a relative of Sudha, came to meet her. When he did not get any response despite several knocks on the door, he broke it open suspecting something was amiss. He saw 28-year-old Sudha and her daughter lying dead on the floor. A bucket was lying nearby and water was spread all over.

He raised an alarm, following which the police were informed. Preliminary investigations indicated that the mother and daughter were electrocuted.
