Orient Cement, Adilabad, bags best organisation award Top managers of 6 organisations get best CE awards
Due recognition: Top business managers at the Indira Gandhi Memorial National Awards ceremony held in Hyderabad on Sunday. HYDERABAD: The Indira Gandhi Memorial National Awards – 2008, sponsored by a magazine “what hails public sector today” for excellence in industrial promotion were given away at a function here on Sunday. Best organisationThe Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) and Orient Cement, Adilabad, bagged the best organisation awards while top managers of six organisations won the best chief executive awards. They included K. Parthasarathy, Chairman and Managing Director (C& MD), Hindustan Steel Works Construction, Kolkata; K.L. Dhingra, C& MD, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, New Delhi; K.S. Rajasekhara Rao, C&MD, ECIL; Arbind Kumar, C&MD, National Projects Construction Corporation, New Delhi; A. A. Naqvi, Managing Director, National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation; and M.C. Goutham, Chief Executive Officer, Orient Cement. P. Sudhakar Reddy, MLC, who presented the awards, appealed to the managements of public sector undertakings to give bonus for workers from the profits. He also urged them to adopt a district each for improving literacy and eliminating child labour. M.
