Awards and Children’s Day add joy to students

PUDUCHERRY: Collegiate Education Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan presented the “Achiever Award” to S. Viswakumar, Head of Chemistry Department of Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School for imparting chemistry for the last 30 years at the higher secondary level.

The active student learner award went to S.B. Vishnue Prasad of Standard XII. Joint Director of Education R. Vanjulavalli and Deputy Registrar (Academic) of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras T. Suriyakumar were present.

Children’s Day celebrated

Students of Alpha Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated Children’s Day and various competitions were conducted for classes LKG to V.

Director of the school B. Dhana Thiyagou distributed medals, cups to nearly 100 winners.

Children’s Day was celebrated at St. Patrick School and Principal of Pope John Paul II Teacher Training College Fr. Paulraj Kumar distributed prizes for the students who won in various competitions.

At the finals of All India The Hindu Young World Quiz competition held at Vishakapatnam on November 13, a team from the school comprising P. Swetha and G. Narendhar of Class VIII finished over all third.

Students of St. Joseph of Cluny Higher Secondary School celebrated Children’s Day in an innovative way.. Achariya Siksha Mandir celebrated Children’s Day with skits, songs and dance.

The school also organised a fancy dress competition in which 200 students took part.
