Tiruvannamalai: The State government has sanctioned a Tourism Office for Tiruvannamalai district. Until now Tiruvannamalai came under the tourism office in Dharmapuri. “With the newly sanctioned office which will have three staff members including a tourism officer, Tiruvannamalai district is all set to assist tourists in a better way,” an officer said. Tiruvannamalai would be one of the four tourism offices newly sanctioned in the State, (other places being Vellore, Coimbatore and Chettinadu) in addition to already existing 14 tourism offices. R.Dhandapani, Tourism Officer in charge of Nagapattinam, Tiruvaroor districts, has been entrusted with additional charge of Tiruvannamalai district. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
