Farmers’ plea

Free power: Rebel Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (Suresh Babu Patil faction) activists staged a dharna in front of Chamundeswari Electricity Supply Corporation in Hassan on Monday. Later, they submitted a memorandum to Executive Engineer Sathyanarayana (second from left) demanding free and uninterrupted power supply to farmers. Also seen are district president of the sangha Gidde Gowda Rajaghatta and working president Hombe Gowda Chikkagavenahalli.
