TAMBARAM: The Shankar Nagar police have arrested a man and two of his relatives on charges of assaulting a financier on Sunday, who died in a hospital later in the day. Police said Kamalakannan of Anakaputhur had lent some money to Sathyamurthy, a resident of the same locality. When Kamalakannan asked Sathyamurthy to return the money, the two are reported to have quarrelled, police said. Sathyamurthy, police said, along with his brother and another relative pushed Kamalakannan, a heart patient, to the ground. He went to his in-laws’ house in Madipakkam and complained of chest pain. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. After a complaint from Kamalakannan’s wife, the Shankar Nagar police arrested Sathyamurthy and two of his relatives, police said, adding the deceased had undergone a heart surgery some years ago. Found deadA 19-year-old youth was found dead inside a stone quarry in Tirusulam on Monday morning. Police said Velmurugan was staying with his elder brother in Rani Anna Nagar. The brothers were reported to have quarrelled on Sunday following which Velmurugan left the house. On Monday morning, residents noticed a body in the quarry, police said.
