CHENNAI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption police on Monday arrested a Firka Surveyor attached to the Ambattur taluk office after he took a bribe of Rs.10,000 from an applicant seeking transfer of patta. On a complaint from G. Vijayakumar (42) of Thanigachalam Nagar that the Firka Surveyor, D. Thangavelu (52), had demanded bribe, a DVAC team laid a trap and arrested the official after he took the money.
